Who Are We

Granite Golf Club is unlike any other in Southern Ontario. Nestled between the untouched beauty of the ancient Oak Ridges Moraine and the gently rolling countryside, it combines the best features of Scotland's oldest links with all the advances of a truly modern golf course.

Granite Golf Club is proud to have been designated as a Certified Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary in 2004. The boundaries of our Golf Course are buffered by protected wildlife habitat, which renowned Canadian golf architect Thomas McBroom’s designed to remain faithful to the natural contours of the land. No office towers or residential developments block your view of the magnificent countryside. The impeccable playing conditions are the result of responsible, environmental grounds maintenance, allowing the course to thrive in harmony with the timeless beauty of the region.

Granite Golf Club is more than a world-class course, from the very beginning, the vision was to be the most family-friendly private club. The course has five sets of adult tees and two sets of family tees to accommodate all players, regardless of ability.

Mission, Vision, Principles

Vision

The vision of Granite Golf Club is to be recognized by our Members, and the Ontario golfing community as a whole, as a high quality innovative private golf club focused on family, fun, flexibility, and friendship.

Mission

The Mission of Granite Golf Club is to provide an exceptional membership experience, for ALL of our Members in a family focused friendly environment.

Core Values

The seven Core Values of Granite Golf Club are part of the “fabric” of the Club, and management and Staff are expected to perform their duties and behave consistent with them.

Member Engagement

We strive to maintain a strong and intimate connection with our Members—we aim to understand and respond to their wants and needs in a way that is respectful, attentive and friendly. We will continue to foster an environment that engages our Members, resulting in a strong emotional connection to Granite Golf Club. Our internal and external messaging will reinforce our Members feelings for their club and give them positive news to share with their friends, family, and colleagues. Thus we will create a community that our Members love and prospective members aspire to be a part of.

Focus on Golf

We will continue to invest in our golf course and property to ensure that we remain a premier and challenging 18–hole championship course for the top-level golfers, while also ensuring the course is very playable and enjoyable for all members, regardless of gender, age or skill level.

Financial Prudence

We will continue to ensure the Club is financially sound. We will strive to achieve a balanced annual Operating Budget (revenues from annual dues, etc.) and will undertake Capital Projects when the need arises. The objective is to ensure we continue to offer to our members an exceptional Private Golf Club experience at a competitive price.

Friendly, Fun, and Family Oriented

We will ensure that ‘the extended family concept’ continues to be promoted and encouraged within the Club. We must provide an environment that is friendly and fun for all our members, especially the families.

Flexibility

We recognize that Golf, and the economics of Golf, is changing. We will continue to offer flexibility in Membership options, value priced and focused on retaining members over the long term.

Open Communication

This is a Club that belongs to all our Members. We will ensure that everyone is aware of developments within the Club and we will constantly solicit feedback to ensure our members views are incorporated in future strategies and actions.

Respect for the Environment

We respect the environment in which our Club is situated, and work to preserve it, and the creatures that live within it, as we continue to improve our golf course and surrounding property.
